Felix Mobile halves price of 80Mbps Unlimited+ plan for first six months
Felix Mobile is offering 50 per cent off its Unlimited+ plan for the first six months, taking the 80Mbps uncapped mobile plan to $25 a month, TechRadar reported on 28 October 2026.
Felix Mobile is discounting its new Unlimited+ mobile plan by 50 per cent for the first six months, bringing the price to $25 a month, according to TechRadar. The plan carries no data cap and runs at speeds of up to 80Mbps.
Unlimited+ was introduced earlier in October and doubles the download speed of Felix's existing plan to 80Mbps for an extra $10 a month. Until then, the MVNO's only offering was a 40Mbps plan at $40 a month, which puts Unlimited+ at $50 a month at full price.
TechRadar described Felix as the long-standing sole provider of truly unlimited mobile data plans in Australia, with the trade-off being capped download speeds. Most Australian telcos technically offer unlimited data, TechRadar said, but throttle speeds significantly once the monthly allowance is used, usually to around 2Mbps. Felix's Unlimited and Unlimited+ plans have no caps, and speeds stay at 40Mbps and 80Mbps respectively, compared with the 100-150Mbps minimum that TechRadar said most telcos offer.
TechRadar's reviewer argued that 80Mbps would feel virtually identical to a 100-150Mbps plan for everyday browsing, social media and music streaming, and said 4K video should perform similarly. The difference would show mainly when downloading large files and apps, the reviewer said.
Felix recommends Unlimited+ for personal mobile use, with occasional hotspotting to devices such as laptops or tablets. It says the plan should not replace a home or office internet service or be used for continuous downloading of large files. Customers who want to test the speeds can claim a full refund within 7 days of activating under a 7-day guarantee.
